poor little pathetic, neglected blog....

I still have the best of intentions of getting back into the blogosphere...too many other commitments seem to usurp my spare time, but hopefully things will settle back down soon and I can post some projects that I have finished.

Relay for Life is coming up in June and that will be my focus during my spare time, but once that wraps I should be good to go.

Someday blog, someday...

Halloween in Wonderland Exploding Box

I made 2 of these exploding boxes as Birthday/Halloween gifts for my Mom and MIL and I am pretty happy with how they turned out.  I found the tutorial on the Everyday Cricut blog for the paper bow and they are quite easy to master once you find the right paper...I had the best luck with Bazzill.  Core'dinations kept creasing as I was shaping the bow.  I kept the inside of the box pretty basic, and left room for pictures so the Mom's can show off their halloween costumes.  Now I am off to work on supplies for my upcoming craft fair.  Thanks for stopping in...be crafty!

Mission Baby Shower Complete

Here are a few shots from my co-workers baby shower last week.  I was pretty pleased with how everything turned out, including the 240 cupcakes my friend Pam baked and I frosted.  Heather was completely surprised and had a great time.  I am now in craft show mode - trying to stock pile items before November 6th!  I will post some pictures of a few crafty creations that I am working on.  I think I will also submit the shower items to the Creative Critterz Imagination Blog's Design Team Call...we shall see....thanks for stopping by, be crafty!

Cricut Imagine and a Diaper Cake

I do have the best of intentions to update this blog at least once a week...but I was completely side tracked by the arrival of my Cricut Imagine.  Right now I am working on a diaper cake for a co-worker...this is totally out of my element as I am really not even sure how to use a diaper, let alone put one on a baby.  But after a few quick google searches I found what I needed to know and I was able to put this together this afternoon.  It is not yet completed but I will share those pictures from the shower.  Have a great day, and be crafty!

Advent Calendar

I have been meaning to make one of these forever - this is not an original idea, something that I saw on the Christmas with the Cricut Blog last year by creations with christina.  I love her work...you should definitely check her out if you haven't already.  The pattern paper collection I used is by Webster's Pages Holiday Collection Combo Pack, Home for the Holidays and Winter's Wings.  All solid paper is by PTI.

I started the project by cutting out all the pages of paper and chipboard using a PTI Die that measures 4.5 X 5.5..the beauty of this die is that is also cuts out the holes for the binder clips, so everything measures up and matches perfectly.  The font and majority of the cuts were from Winter Woodland.  All of the numbers were cut at 3inches, all the others varied between 2.5 - 3 inches.  Lots of stickles and bling added.  Love it!  Thanks for looking and have a great day....be crafty!

New Double Layout with Basic Grey Paper

Happy Sunday - perfectly rainy day in NH so it looks like I will just have to stay inside my craft room all day.  I worked on this layout yesterday and finished it up this morning...I started out by planning on a North Pole theme but somehow I ended up with the forest near the North Pole.  These cute little forest critters are in holiday mode, working together to prepare for the big day. Lots of ink and stickles (still wet when I took the photos) ...oops, I just realized I didn't finish the Winter Wonderland title.

Craft Room Pictures

Ok, so I went on cricut.com to post the new layout and their site is acting up and giving error messages due to the .NET framework...whatever...so I guess this gives me the opportunity to post some pics of my craft room that I took earlier this year.  You would literally be frightened by the current state of my space, I have stuff everywhere and it is a complete disaster...and of course Dylan (oldest chocolate lab) is laying right in the middle of everything, and yes on top of my Fall/Halloween pattern paper.  But he is so comfy and asleep, I will let him stay there and walk around him or over him to get to where I need to go.  This is not a big space, maybe 12 X 12 feet, and he is a slightly plump 80 pound lab, so you do the math.

Would you make him move??  He is my favorite "person" in the whole world (other than DH, of course).  Ok, so on to the craft room.
This first shot is of the main 2 work spaces, my craft table and my computer desk.  My Mother's Mate made me this craft table and I LOVE it.  It is a 10 foot table that he specially mounted for me, and let me tell you that it gets the job done (although it allows me to create a disaster with obscene amouts of  "craft crap").  The 2nd pic is a closer shot of the mayhem.

The next shot is the table that I primarily use for inking and stamping.  This table was the first Christmas gift I ever received from my husband (I had been complaining that I didn't have enough space to craft and not a big enough table..etc etc) and I had high hopes for our first Xmas together that I would get a well thought out and beautiful Xmas present...and then all the gifts were unwrapped...  My husband then presented me with this TABLE.  Yes, practical, yes necessary.  But a TABLE?  Yes, I love it to this day, almost 15 years later.
And lastly, a bad shot of my storage rack.  I do so love my little place in my house and I am always looking for ways to change it...I was in a bright color mode this Winter...obviously.
