Halloween Double Layout using Cricut

Life, work and a beautiful NH Summer have totally wreaked havoc on my blog aspirations.  As Fall draws near I am hoping to be reinspired with my blog and sharing new creations...this little blog is still for my eyes only (for the most part) and I look forward to expanding my blog and posts.

Today I have posted a fun 12X12 double layout for Halloween.  I am a freak for Halloween, I love the colors as the leaves change and temps drop ... as the North Country prepares for another "long Winter's Nap".  Even though it is August and close to 80 degrees, my mind is wandering to cooler temps and apple picking weather.

I have fond memories of Halloween and trick or treating.  I spent time growing up in Florida, Massachusetts and New Hampshire, so I have had the experience of both warm and cold Halloweens (yes, it can snow in NH by Halloween).   This layout was inspired by quaint houses for trick or treating but the curiosity as a teen for the "scarier" side of trick or treating...hence the little ghosts and mummies heading to the dark castle.

I am hoping to get this posted on the Cricut message board today and hopefully keep the ball rolling in blog land.  Have a great day ~ and as alway, be crafty!

New Shadow Box - Mother's Day Gifts

I created 2 identical Shadow Boxes for "The Mothers" for Mom's Day.  Very similar to earlier post, I really like the way these turned out.  Thanks for looking!

Shadowbox Layout - 10th Wedding Anniversary!

Thanks for stopping by.  I created this layout for my 10 year anniversary that is coming up May 13th.  I love the way it came out.  I used George and Sweethearts to create the flowers, Graphic 45 Paper (and an original wedding invitation), PTI cardstock, glimmer mist and some grunge.  I scanned and then edited the photo to change it to gray tone.

I am very new to this whole blog world, so please excuse the mess while I get it set up!

My Pink Stamper Challenge ~ Black, Pink and Green!

I created this card and purse for Robyn's challenge.  I started out in one direction and before I knew it, headed completely in a different direction!  Once I got out my distress inks, I decided to go vintage.  I used the Forever Young cartridge for both the purse and the flowers.  Using the flower cut #8, I cut out a bunch of them in sizes between 1.5 and 2.5.  I then used Distress inks (Worn Lipstick, Spun Sugar and Vintage Photo) to change up the plain white cardstock they had been cut from.  After that, I sprayed them with glimmer mist and scrunched them up...stacked them up and attached a little black brad to hold it all together.  More glimmer mist (marshmallow), scrunching and then dried with my heat gun.  The stamp is from Inkadinkadoo and I used vintage photo for the "thank you".  All in all I am pleased with how it turned out!  Thanks for looking ~

My first project post!

This is a double 12X12 layout that I made using the Once Upon A Princess Cartridge.  The papers I used in this layout include DCWV and Papertrey Ink (my personal favorite).  Since I am brand new to this whole blog thingie, I will see how I make out loading the pictures before I share...good luck to me!
